He wore a brace from shin to groin and later on both legs. He managed to battle it out for many years and played with some great teammates. Keeping it all in perspective, saving lives and raising a great family makes hockey important to some but in reality formed his character for more important accomplishments. Those who know him enjoy hours of great stories and jokes as well as loyal friendship. A proud Delta Firefighter Captain and great father are pretty good encores.Donnyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12227267113935369112noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28353421.post-69962842942418979412009-02-06T08:26:00.000-08:002009-02-06T08:26:00.000-08:00Oh Gary... you were a model for everything that's ...Oh Gary... you were a model for everything that's wrong with athletes. Take money over everything... I guess its safe to say he paid his debt though, thanks in VERY large part to a merciless Bob Probert knock out, during a line brawl with the Wings. A decently skilled guy in Chicago, definitely started falling into the pugilistic world due to his knee, but still a guy any team would have wanted, as he could still play - and defend himself and mates against the biggest and baddest the league could throw at the Hawks.JKiddhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01583793689887975753noreply@blogger.com
