One of my friends took his ski class years ago and said it was the hardest skiing he had ever done. Eric was known to take his classes to the toughest terrain on the mountain. But it worked, they became better skiers. Today I saw him again (he's 84 now), and he told me his secret to life at this point was to "keep moving"! He and Pepi (another ole timer Vail celeb), still get up on the mountain, and I hope I will too at their age. Danny Gallivan, the legendary Habs' broadcaster, always made a point of saying that when they were playing Chicago, especially at the old Forum in Montreal.

I can recall him saying, a few times, "Here comes Wharram, dipsy-doodling around the Habs' defence.... Why I am not surprised if it were similar to Assyrian heritage. Trier, Germany, the oldest city in all of Germany was conquered by Assyrians. I spoke with Cooley Smith and Teeter Kennedy at the Fort Erie Race Track when Teeter was the Chief of Security there and they said (each having played with the TML when Bill was with CBH) that he (Bill) wore both No. 8 and No 10, but they were not 100 percent sure. I was 8 years old in 1943 and living in Eastern Ontario with my mother and siblings when my Dad (who was in the RCAF and stationed in Cape Breton) sent me a Chicago Black Hawks sweater, socks, gloves, pants and (even back then) a helmet. I then became a life-long fan of the CBH. In the Summit Series, he led in wins, Best G.AA, he was the best in the series and was underplayed, i think there Wouldn't have been such a Dramatic Ending in 1972, had he been in net instead of Dryden, He was superb in the series as was Tretiak, Tony showed how good he was when he played in game 2 and Won it, with only one Goal against, and the Soviets peppered him, but he laid a brick wall which stopped the Soviets in there tracks. Of course we said yes because hockey was watched faithfully in our house and we knew who you and Bobby Hull were. Endless to say he got you pulled over and we met and you gave us an autograph each with our names on it. We were so excited about it. I remember thinking we had such a cool uncle because he knew a famous hockey player!
